England cock-up!

I mean, whoever would book any sort of holiday based upon the prospects of any England team, in any sport??

It’s true to say that when we booked this holiday many months ago, we hadn’t realised the significance of the departure date and time. And even when realisation dawned, well, who cared? The England rugby team would have suffered embarrassing defeats to the USA and Argentina and would have long since been back home.

It’s only in the last two weeks has the full enormity of the problem actually confronted us. Whilst the conversation about re-routing via Tokyo was at least short and decisive, the fact remains that kick-off next Saturday coincides with check-in!!

This potentially epic journey has encountered its first major challenge – and it’s still six days until we leave!
